Victim advice > Facebook Issues > What happens when I report someone on Facebook?
I have put together some key advice for victims of cyberstalking below.
The Network for Surviving Stalking has more information about stalking, the risks and going to the police. Or call the Stalking helpline on 0808 802 300. If you are victim of stalking associated with domestic violence, call Women's Aid helpline on 0808 2000 247

All abuse reports on Facebook are confidential.
The user that you are reporting will not know that you have reported them. After the report is submitted, Facebook investigates the issue and makes a determination as to whether or not the content should stay up.
It can often take numerous reports, several days/weeks. Keep reporting the person and get others to do the same.
In certain situations, the circumstances necessitate more severe action. For instance, users who repeatedly violate our Terms of Use can have their profile removed.
