If you aren't able to contact the seller, then contact the auction website. Many sites have a policy of providing the seller's details. If the website won't provide you with details then unfortunately, there is also nothing in the law that says they have to give you the seller's details if they don't want to.

You can try looking the company up on the Companies House or Yellow Pages website.

If the seller has his own website with their own domain name, it may be possible to find out how to contact them by searching on a 'Who is' search engine, such as www.truewhois.com or direct with the WHOIS feature at Nominet (.uk domains only).
